Imperialism is when a stronger more unified country takes over a smaller weaker country. New nations that adopted it were European countries such as Frace, Germany, Great Britian and several other ones. The Boer war was when Great Britian and th Boers fought over land in South Africa. The war conflicted from 1899 all the way untill 1902. The Boer war affected the Zulo nation because they completely took over the people of that certain part in africa and changed their whole life style.The Europeans expanded and made their territory so much larger. They changed the people of Africa and in a sense made them more like them. They explored in order to create more land for themselves. They also needed laborers for money. They needed people to work long hard hours in harsh working conditions in order to make enough money to support the economy. Also they needed people to carry heaby loads and do harsh labor. When they explored they gained colonies. During the scramble for africa it was complete chaos and everyone wanted a piece of some land. Cecil Rhodes was a part of the diamond bussiness and founded De Beers diamond company. The diamond complany blossomed because there were more laborers and more people willing to work outrageus hours.
